EXCLUSIVE: Angel Guardian clarifies that she is not using a stage name: ‘Si Lord na nagbigay nito!’

<p>As one of the members of the talented ensemble cast of the Metro Manila Film Festival entry <em>Rekonek</em>, actress Angel Guardian admits there was a lot to be excited for in the project, even though her character arc only included mostly scenes with her good friend and co-star Kokoy de Santos.</p><p>“How I wish nga po na nakasama ko sila Gerald Anderson and Andrea Brillantes sa scenes, pero in the story kasi, parang tumatakbo siya sa iba’t ibang characters and then eventually reconnecting with the characters. So I didn’t get to film with the other actors. Alam niya ‘to kasi sa kanya ako nag-ra-rant. Sabi ko, ‘Ayoko na. Pagkatapos nito, aalis na ako. Mag-co-commercial na lang ako, ganyan, ganyan.’ Tapos biglang may (project na) darating. Alam mo ‘yun? Hanggang eventually, wala na. Oh my god, minahal ko na talaga ‘yung acting. Naintindihan ko na siya in a deeper sense. And now, I can’t see myself doing other things. Parang ito na talaga ‘yung gusto ko kasi minahal ko na siya. But that could not be farther from the truth. </p><p>“Actually, ito ‘yung laging tanong sa akin pero kasi hindi talaga siya planned. Like yung last name na gamit ko is sa mom ko. So growing up, ang bitbit kong last name sa dad ko. Pero for whatever reason, ‘yung mom ko ni-late register ako, so naging Guardian last name ko nung high school na ako. So hindi ko talaga siya planned. So ayun, medyo kumplikado. And then pumasok na ako sa industry and then may mga screen name, screen name daw. Parang ako, inisip ko, kakapalit lang ng last name ko eh. So naisip ko, ito na lang gamitin ko. Si Lord na nagbigay nito di ba? Eh di ito na lang. So akala ng mga tao, screen name kasi nga, tunog screen name. And I can’t wait for everyone to see it. Talagang makikita mo na ma-e-enjoy ng lahat dahil ramdam na ramdam mo ang diwa ng Pasko,” she added. </p><p>Watch Angel Guardian in the 2025 MMFF entry <em>Rekonek, </em>now showing<em></em> in cinemas nationwide.
