Kim Woo-bin sends gifts to young hospital patients this holiday season

<p>Kim Woo-bin marked the Christmas season not with fanfare, but with a simple act of kindness that brought smiles to young patients spending the holidays in the hospital. The actor, often admired for his work on screen, once again took on the role of a “Secret Santa,” delivering gifts to children confined in the pediatric ward of Asan Medical Center. </p><p>According to reports from South Korean media outlets on December 27, Woo-bin personally prepared Christmas presents for around 200 children undergoing treatment. The gifts included drawing kits and scarves that meant to offer both comfort and creative distraction during their hospital stay. Alongside these were handwritten letters from the actor, a personal touch that left a lasting impression on the children and their families. </p><p>While the gift giving and hospital visit itself was done privately, news of the gesture surfaced after a patient’s family posted photos and a message of thanks on social media. According to his agency, AM Entertainment, Woo-bin has been visiting the children’s ward of Asan Medical Center since 2022, making this his fourth year of surprising young patients during the holidays. Since 2014, he has been making anonymous donations to support low-income youth, while also contributing to relief efforts for social disasters, including the COVID-19 pandemic, wildfires, and floods. His cumulative donations are reported to have exceeded 1.2 billion won (around ₱48.8 million). </p><p>The K-drama star’s acts of giving come shortly after another milestone in his personal life. On December 20, Woo-bin married actress Shin Min-a after being in a relationship since 2015. The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the Dynasty Hall of The Shilla Seoul, attended by close family and friends.
