BTS Jin donates ₱4 million to charity for his 33rd birthday

<p>South Korean superstar Jin has donated 100 million Korean won or approximately ₱4 million to charity to celebrate his birthday this year. This act of kindness coming from the BTS member was confirmed by the Busan Namgwang Social Welfare Society.</p><p>The 33-year-old South Korean singer’s donation will go towards the talent-support scholarship program for the underprivileged children as well as those aging out of the childcare institutions as reported by Soompi.</p><p>Fans of the BTS member expressed on social media how proud they are of their idol for donating for a good cause. Small gestures for him, life-changing support for so many others,” a fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).</p><p>“What a great birthday gift! So proud of you my Jinnie! Happy Birthday my love!” another fan added. </p><p>Previously, Jin gained recognition for donating to various causes in the past which includes Unicef and the Korea Animal Welfare Association. Members of the South Korean boy group have also been donating to the causes of their choice over the years and have been well-documented all over social media. </p><p>Jin dropped his second solo album titled <em>Echo</em>, earlier this year and has been well received by his millions of fans all over the world. He previously held an encore concert in South Korea as well which had Jungkook and J-Hope as his surprise guests. </p>
