<p>Singer-actress Jessa Zaragoza revealed that she completely lost her voice in the latter part of January due to flu. Two days later, her condition got worse and was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection.</p><p>“By Jan 24, I had completely lost my voice. The diagnosis was an upper respiratory infection, which as you all might know, is pretty common lately. I was prescribed antibiotics for it and they kicked in just in time for me to do the Vehnee Saturno show on the 31st,” she recalled.</p><p>Despite being prescribed with antibiotics to help her heal faster, she started experiencing more symptoms that turned out to be a full blown influenza virus. </p><p>“I thought I was on the road to recovery, and figured this was just my schedule catching up to me (which I really wasn’t complaining of since I’m grateful for a very unexpectedly busy month) But then more symptoms came popping in left and right; sore skin, and body aches. I was thinking it might be a UTI but the tests concluded otherwise,” she shared.</p><p>“Then the dry cough started as I worked through the last of my commitments on Feb 3rd, followed with the on and off fever that started the next day. It seemed I was gonna get worse before I would get better,” she added.</p><p>Jessa made light of the situation as she recalled singing her hit song, &quot;Bakit Pa?&quot;, as she narrated how bad she felt while dealing with the virus. She expressed her gratitude towards everyone who sent their well wishes for her recovery.</p><p>“Let’s all take this as a lesson to listen to your body and its needs. We only have one so we best take care of it. Do it for both yourself and your loved ones around you. Health is wealth after all,” she ended.</p>
