Iya Villania shares birth story of fifth child: ‘God was with me the whole way’

<p>Iya Villania opened up about her childbirth experience with her fifth child, Anya.</p><p>In an Instagram post, the television host shared that she initially experienced false labor on February 2.</p><p>&quot;Morning of Feb 2, 2025 we headed to [The Medical City] after experiencing 2-3 hrs of consistent light contractions of every 8-9 mins. Turns out it was a false labor - referred to as prodromal labor, which I never experienced in my past pregnancies 😅,&quot; she shared.</p><p>Iya relayed that she was sent home and experienced prodromal labor multiple times through the week. &quot;I’m not sure if my anticipation for labor and delivery was contributing to it. I guess no mom can ever be a pro in pregnancy,&quot; she recalled.</p><p>In the early hours of February 11, contractions returned, but Iya hesitated to go back to the hospital as it could be another false alarm. &quot;Not wanting to just be sent home again, I wanted to make sure it wasn’t just another false labor so I was waiting for a more major sign like water breaking or a bloody show. Enveloped with a spirit of courage and peace, God was with me the whole way, washing away every ounce of doubt and fear that I had in me weeks and days leading up to my delivery 🥹 it was amazing! 🥹&quot;</p><p>She added: &quot;It was like God orchestrated the home birth I’ve always dreamt about within the safety of a hospital setting 😆 Thank you to my doctors who were always there and to all the nurses and doctors in TMC who were fast to come and assist when Anya came out, thank you.&quot;</p><p>Iya expressed her gratitude to God for giving her a smooth delivery. </p><p>&quot;I prayed for a fast and easy delivery, but God can truly do more that you can ever think, ask for or imagine 🩷 Thank you, Lord, for your faithfulness 🥹 and to my husband @drewarellano who was recording it as it was unfolding even while having to deal with his own fears, I love you!
