<p>In a role that mirrors real life, celebrity couple Benj Manalo and Lovely Abella play a married couple in Star Cinema’s upcoming rom-com <em>My Love Will Make You Disappear</em>. The two, who celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary last January, play neighbors Richie and Jeng in the fictional Tahanan Homes Village where lead stars Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino also reside. </p><p>“Mag-asawa kami dito. Siya po dito ay isang deaf. So ako naman yung talakerang live-in partner niya. Kasi siguro bilang bagong nakatrabaho lang si Paulo, iba kasi talaga yung mga titig niya eh! Dahil sa kanilang dalawa, nakakatulong talaga sa bawat character namin. So sa bawat na nangyayari doon, meron silang naitutulong, hindi lang yung problema nila kundi pati sa amin. Ay, kapag napanuod niyo ‘yung movie, makikita niyo siguro kung bakit nga ba kami nandito as people from Tahanan Homes, kasi ‘yun talaga ‘yung mag-re-represent who they are into the movie. I think that would be really interesting. At saka mdyo kinokontrata kasi namin si direk Chad (Vidanes) na isama talaga kami (laughs),” he shared jokingly. </p><p>Benj and Lovely first met while on a celebrity dance contest where Benj was one of the coaches. After five years of dating, they got engaged in 2019 and got married in 2021. The couple both have a child from their previous relationships.</p><p>Catch Benj Manalo and Lovely Abella in<em> My Love Will Make You Disappear </em>as it opens in cinemas starting March 26 under Star Cinema. Directed by Chad Vidanes and written by Prime Cruz. The film stars Paulo Avelino, Kim Chiu, Wilma Doesnt, Karina Bautista, Martin Escudero, Nico Antonio, and Migs Almendras. </p>
