<p>Paulo Avelino expressed enthusiasm about collaborating more with Kim Chiu in the future, hoping to explore different genres.</p><p>In an interview with <em>Variety,</em> Paulo shared his future dream projects with Kim. &quot;I would love to work with Kim again, but I would like a different genre,&quot; he said. &quot;Maybe a tear-jerker, an action film, or what I’ve been wanting to do for the longest time: a sci-fi film.&quot;</p><p>Paulo and Kim are currently set to headline their first big screen pairing, <em>My Love Will Make You Disappear</em>, scheduled for international release this month.</p><p>Discussing the rising popularity of Filipino romantic films overseas, Paulo emphasized their unique appeal, saying, &quot;There’s something about commercial films and romance that gives this specific feeling. Natapos na tayo sa tinatawag na poverty porn and sa kahirapan ng buhay. Well, art films are always and will never be gone dahil nasa pag-interpret naman ng mga tao. Pero nakakatuwa na rom-com. For instance, hindi ko maisip and I can’t even imagine a rom-com film being shown and having an international release. So there’s immense pressure not just on us but also with Star Cinema. But it’s nice, it’s a different flavor.&quot;</p><p>Paulo also highlighted the unique Filipino concept of kilig. &quot;I just found out there’s no direct translation of kilig. So parang &#x27;yung kilig na&#x27; yun, tina-try namin ipakita. When you go abroad and tell them, &#x27;Oh, that movie’s kilig,&#x27; they have no idea, and it’s really hard to explain,&quot; he pointed out.</p><p><em>My Love Will Make You Disappear </em>marks Paulo and Kim’s third collaboration following the successful series <em>Linlang</em> and <em>What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.</em></p><p><em></em>Reflecting on their frequent partnerships, Paulo praised Kim&#x27;s charm as a co-star. &quot;Now that I think about it, never lumampas nang dalawang beses ang pakikipagtrabaho ko with my leading ladies sa series and movies. Siguro ‘yung sagot ko diyan ay hindi nakakasawa katrabaho si Kim,&quot; Paulo said in an interview at the movie&#x27;s media conference.</p>
