That’s exactly what they gamely did in a special episode of the TFC show BRGY, with guest host MJ Felipe.

In this episode, BGYO’s five members drew names to swap choreography parts and challenge each other’s dance skills. But that’s not all: to add more of a challenge, they have to dance while singing the part they draw, all in a capella.

“Hey! What's up guys? So ngayon meron kaming gagawing challenge. Which is yung switch parts challenge. Ang twist dito is kakantahin namin siya at sasayawin ng a capella. Bubunutan kami,” he noted.

JL went on to explain the rules further: “Meron ditong mga papel. Tapos kung sino ‘yung mabunot namin, ‘yun ‘yung parts na gagawin mo. Kung sino man sa aming lima.”

After the draw, JL ended up with Gelo’s moves, while Gelo got JL’s part. Mikki took on Nate’s routine, Nate tackled Akira’s, and Akira was up for Mikki’s steps.

The BGYO boys quickly got to work, teaching each other the “Trash” choreography and lyrics while assisting one another with group blocking and figuring out where to go next.

“So, ‘yun guys! Tapos na kami mag-block. Sana ma-perfect namin. Kung hindi man, better luck next time. Pero ano, masaya ‘to. First time natin ginawa to,” said JL.

Gelo added how much time it really took for them to block everything: “Saka totoo ‘to ha, ten minutes lang kami halos (nag-practice).”

"Nagalaw ‘yung utak ko doon. So ‘yun, sana na gustuhan nyo ‘yung outcome. Outcome? Sobrang saya. First time namin ito ginawa actually. And challenging pala siya kasi. Hindi naman kami nagpo-focus sa mga parts ng bawat isa. So, ganun pala,” JL mentioned.

This challenge might not be entirely new to the boys, especially considering how hard they work during rehearsals for their performances. According to them, sometimes they only have three sessions to learn a new choreography.

Aside from the Trash Dance Challenge they took on, BGYO also taught guest host and reporter MJ Felipe the moves for their other song, "Gigil," in the same episode.

The Filipino boy group is set to unveil their latest track, "Divine," as part of their self-titled EP, which will be released on March 13.
