EXCLUSIVE: Carmelle Collado, interested to try acting after Tawag ng Tanghalan

<p>After being hailed as the first-ever grand champion of <em>Tawag Ng Tanghalan: The School Showdown</em> last January, singer Carmelle Collado feels like she’s still in a dream after being invited to attend and performing in her first ABS-CBN Ball earlier this month. Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala especially like ngayon na nasa ABS-CBN Ball ako and first time ko sa ball. So ngayon na nandito ako, na kasama ako sa <em>ABS-CBN Ball</em>, I’m really excited kung anong mangyayari pa. For now, focus muna ako sa sing and dance. Kasi marunong ako sumayaw pero hindi ako ganun kagaling talaga. So I really need to work on that. I‘m really a big fan of BINI kasi isa ako din sa kumanta sa Philippine Arena nung nag-front act ako sa kanila nung concert nila. Si Gwen ang bias ko kasi same kami na Bicolana. Sa mga music genres, gusto ko rin mag-explore. Meron kasi akong mga songs na gusto kong i-try pero parang kapag kinanta ko na siya, alam ko sa sarili ko na hindi ko pa kaya. Meron pa akong mga things, especially mga techniques, na hindi ko pa nakukuha. So I really need to work hard kung gusto ko maibigay yung different genres sa tao, especially pag maglalabas pa ako ng album. I want na may maibigay ako sa kanilang bago,” she said.</p><p>In an earlier interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Carmelle shared what her initial plans were after joining the country’s longest running singing contest and how she think she matched up against her co-finalists.  “Gusto ko pong gumawa ng songs na upbeat, parang upbeat po na parang may kasamang sayaw and kanta. Hindi ko po talaga siya ini-expect kasi I know na magagaling  &#x27;yung mga kalaban ko. Parang meron kaming kanya-kanyang genres po. Meron po kaming kanya-kanyang strength po so sabi ko lang po kung sino mang palaring manalo deserve po nila &#x27;yun.&quot;</p>
