<p>It’s been four years since she gave birth to her first child with boyfriend Joem Bascon and Meryll Soriano admits she couldn’t be any happier with their rekindled romance. We value our privacy. Kahit nung hindi pa kami together. As individuals, we value that. And as individuals, we value our individuality. So he has his own thing, I have my own thing,” she told PUSH ABS-CBN in an exclusive interview. </p><p>“And yung respect sa isa’t isa,” she added. “Sabi ko nga tumanda na rin ako. Kasi when you know when it’s not your turn to have the stage, in terms of masama loob mo, masaya ka, ganun, you let them celebrate. And we do that for each other. She also has an older son named Elijah with ex-partner Bernard Palanca. </p><p>“Noong una, parang gusto pa namin. Pero you know, I’m also looking forward to being creative again. Not just in my career, but as a person,” explained Meryll.<br/><br/>“And talagang grabe ang sacrifice when you’re a new parent. And gusto ko pa pero sabi ng OB ko ayaw na niya kasi 40s is high risk na and all that. So sabi niya kung gusto talaga sundan, dapat magkasunod na lang. Pero 13 years na yung age gap nung dalawa kong anak so sabi ko parang gusto ko naman siya namnamin,” she continued. “So ngayon namnam na namnam ko naman siya. Ayoko na (laughs). Sabi ko I need myself, I need to get back to my creative life. But I’m very happy. We’re very happy. I love being a mother. So sabi ko talaga, ‘Oh my God, kaya ko ba ito?’ (laughs). But now, he really wants to do sports science. Yung direction niya naiba. So I love sports. I’ve always been a fan of it. Pero nag-usap na kami. Wala na ako magagawa kung gusto niya. And I don’t want to hinder anybody’s growth. Kung dun sila magiging masaya and mag-e-explore siya and mag-go-grow siya as a person, then sino ba ako para pigilan siya di ba?” she said. </p><p>Watch the eight-episode series <em>Love at First Spike</em>, directed by Ivan Andrew Payawal, streaming this June on iWantTFC.
