Known for being athletic, Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu has once again rekindled her passion for running.

“In my runnerist era again,” Kim declared in an Instagram post on Sunday, May 18.

The actress’ post featured a compilation of photos from the running events she attended within the month.

“Waking up before the sun, lacing up even when the mood doesn’t follow—because it’s all in the mind,” she wrote in the post’s caption.

The actress briefly stated her gains from the running events she had participated in.

“Endorphins, grit, and the beautiful community I found along the way… it all makes every kms worth it,” she said.

Talking about the community, Kim mentioned a few people that have helped in her return to running, including the equally athletic actor, Alden Richards.

“Plus run the #Jacepace way!!! Haha naks!!! @jcneps Thanks for the fun run invites!! @marlinecapones @aldenrichards02,” she wrote.

Based on the photos shared by Kim, the farthest distance she reached was 16 kilometers, while the shortest she completed was a 7-kilometer run.

Kim’s love team partner Paulo Avelino was also spotted in some of the photos she posted.  “I think let’s bring back this hashtag #GoForMedalsKSYC,” she concluded her post.

Kim’s co-host on It’s Showtime, Anne Curtis, who is currently working on a film, also expressed her desire to join running events.

“Sama me when I’m done with my filming,” Anne commented.

This is not the first time Kim shared about her love for running and her fitness journey.

In 2022, Kim successfully participated in a duathlon, where she completed 34 kilometers through running and biking.

In the same year, the actress also shared a quote about running to celebrate a 10-kilometer run that she successfully completed.

“The more I run, the more I love my body. Not because it's perfect, far from it. But because with every mile, it's proving to me that I am capable of more than I ever thought possible,” the quote read.

In 2019, she also shared her love for duathlon racing through a video she posted on Instagram. The actress said that although she did not “religiously join” in such activities due to her busy schedule, they serve as a form of  therapy for her whenever she participates.
