Her legacy lives on, despite the fact that she is not physically present on Earth.</p><p>For her fans, &quot;Ate Guy&quot; was the most humble star to land in show business. On set, she would address them by their first names and request that production make room for them. They were more than just admirers; they were her defenders through thick and thin.</p><p>The &quot;downfall&quot; of the Superstar, as critics have described it, is not a downfall for her devotees. They noted that even in Aunor&#x27;s worst moments, she shone silently, and that is what counts to them.</p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1747871595819image1 (4).jpeg" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>On Aunor’s birthday, executive producers Raymond &quot;RS&quot; Francisco, Sam Verzosa, Atty. Aldwin Alegre, and Cecille Bravo hosted a special screening of &quot;Faney,&quot; a tribute film to the superstar directed by Adolf Alix, at Gateway 2 Cinema 11 in Quezon City.</p><p>In true Aunor fashion, the gathering was packed with screaming admirers carrying posters and souvenirs and yelling the name of their idol. Gina Alajar, Althea Ablan, Bembol Rocol, and the P-pop group Bilib also attended the special screening.</p><p>On Laurice Guillen&#x27;s behalf, her daughter Ina Feleo delivered a heartwarming message to the fans and Aunor, saying, “Gusto kong batiin si Nora sa araw ng kanyang kaarawan. Wala akong experience sa pagiging ‘faney.’ May mga hinahangaan akong mga tao pero may hangganan ang aking paghanga hindi tulad sa inyo na marami ang mga sakripisyo para maipakita ang pagmamahal at paghanga kay Guy. Sa mga kuwento nila, unti-unti kong nalaman at naunawaan ang special charisma ni Guy, at kung bakit ganyan kahigpit ang koneksyon ng kanyang fans sa kanya. Nagpapasalamat ako sa kanila.”</p><p>On the other hand, Alajar described Aunor as “alagad ng katotohanan, tapang, at giting.”</p><p>She continued, “Isang tagapagsalaysay ng ating kuwento. Sa kanya, tayo ay naging totoo. Tahimik na ngayon ngunit hindi siya nawala sapagkat ang kanyang liwanag sa Langit ay sumiklab. Hindi siya nagpaalam, at naging bahagi ng ating alaala.”</p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1747871611199image0 (5).jpeg" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>Meanwhile, Frontrow executive Francisco, who produced the movie, stated that it had always been a goal to work with the Superstar, but owing to the epidemic, the production was unable to proceed. </p><p>As a gift to Aunor, he produced the film, which he believes captures Aunor&#x27;s true essence as a star and a person.</p><p>“She was the biggest star the country had ever had. When I was a nobody, I was tasked with picking her up from her house in my rented car. She didn&#x27;t know who I was, yet she didn&#x27;t judge me. She was really humble and said, ‘Ikaw po ba, Kuya, ang susundo sa akin?’ We stopped along the way, and she gave money to the children who recognized her at the gas station. She was so sincere. That is who she was, and we honor her today. We love her,” Francisco said.</p><p>Fans were moved by the stories told by industry people, but they had no idea that they are the ones who are moving the industry. Their stories have always been constant, with &quot;Ate Guy&quot; beginning as a human before becoming a star.</p><p>Even on Aunor&#x27;s birthday, fans remain the focus of attention, since this would have been Aunor&#x27;s request - to praise and respect the fans.</p><p>&quot;Faney&quot; tells the narrative of Milagros, one of Aunor&#x27;s devoted admirers who is saddened by the Superstar&#x27;s death.
