Ogie Alcasid reacts to wife's 'bugnot' face on his regular walking updates: 'She hates it'

<p>If you follow Ogie Alcasid on social media, you might have observed a common pattern in his regular walking updates: his all-smiling face and his wife Regine Velasquez’s “bugnot” (scowling) face.  </p><p> In his recent guesting on the talk show <em>The B Side</em>, Bianca Gonzalez, who openly confessed to being an active follower, brought up the funny facial reactions of Regine in his posts.  </p><div> </div><div><a href="https://youtu.be/NUpdFRwWngA?si=4VezFC5k0xxuTHOG"> <iframe width="681" height="383" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/NUpdFRwWngA" title="FULL INTERVIEW with Ogie Alcasid | The B Side | Cinema One" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></a></div><div> </div><p>Ogie revealed that his wife originally disliked doing activities like walking.  </p><div> </div><p>“She hates it,” he said. “She hates moving. Talagang ‘yung kung pwedeng buong araw siyang nakahiga, nagbubutingting, nanonood — that’s what she calls a happy day.” </p><p> Recognizing the fact that they are aging, Ogie encouraged Regine to be physically active.  </p><p> “I said, ‘honey, we have to move. We’re getting old,’” he said. “[Tapos] susungitan na ako ‘nun or she’ll have many excuses hanggang feeling niya nakakalimutan ko na pero hindi.” </p><p> The singer-songwriter also revealed the scenario that led to Regine’s realization of the importance of fitness. </p><p> “She had this concert na she did all rock,” he recalled. “Pinapanood ko siya, sabi ko, ‘oh my god, parang napapagod ‘yung asawa ko.’ And then true enough, after that she said ‘honey, I have to train.&#x27; So, there was this self-realization on her part, thank God. That’s how we got into it. But the truth is she hates it.”  </p><div> </div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2025/5/15/ogie-alcasid-shares-how-his-blended-family-with-michelle-van-eimeren-thrives-1258"><strong>READ: Ogie Alcasid shares how his blended family with Michelle van Eimeren thrives</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>Ogie admitted that even he finds it funny, but he is proud that his wife is trying her best. </p><p>&quot;There was one time, I did a summary of the whole training, pati ako tawa nang tawa eh,&quot; he said. &quot;At saka ang cute niya kasi na nag-ti-tiyaga siya [kahit] alam kong hate na hate niya &#x27;yun.&quot;</p><p> When asked if Regine is fine with him sharing those photos, he responded: “Sa tanda na naming ‘to, parang ‘talaga ba?’ I guess some fans were kind of upset with me that I do that. But sa kanya naman, the more natural it comes out. Although nagkikilay naman ‘yun bago maglakad.
