<p>Veteran singer-songwriter and <em>Idol Philippines Kids</em> judge Gary Valenciano took to social media to express a heartfelt message for his son, Gab Valenciano, who recently celebrated his 37th birthday.</p><p> On his Instagram page, Gary shared how much he misses Gab, who is currently away from home.</p><p> “Happy birthday to a son I miss so much. But I also know God has plans specifically designed for you son. And if these God-ordained plans are to keep you away for a while, then so be it,” he continued.</p><p> The loving father expressed how he always thinks about his son and encourages him to look forward to what the future holds for him.</p><p> He encouraged his son to stay hopeful about the future, saying, “&#x27;Never Give Up On A Good Thing&#x27; …I thought of you son…I know there will be many more good things to come your way. You know when you’re so comfortable with each other, sometimes the lines are blurred from what’s work and what’s not work. But again, at the end of the day, for over three decades, we have grown up around this so it’s become very natural for us just to talk about work and it doesn’t feel like work. It’s fun. But I guess it was that comparison when we both perform. Singing for me is not really a passion. I don’t really go out of my way to want to sing,” he expressed.</p><p> Still, he acknowledged that the experience helped build resilience.</p><p> &quot;But at the end of the day, I feel that it kind of like propelled me to the point where yung adversity quotient ko and how I handle hardship really somewhat expanded. Because the pressure from other people became my driving force. I feel like now I’m more driven by myself in terms of what I want for myself instead of other people’s expectations of me,” he continued.</p>
