I have directors who know my strengths, who know how hard they can stretch and encourage me. I have the greatest new brothers and sisters here. Walang pa-i-star-an, walang competition. They’re just helping and helping and helping. And when you are almost doubting if you can do the lagare, the workload of two projects, you just get reminded everyday, we got you</em>,” he told <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz"><strong><em>PUSH ABS-CBN</em></strong></a> during the <em>Side Show</em> musical presscon held earlier this month. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/2017/2/11/fresh-scoops/exclusive-jon-santos-shares-the-secret-to-his-last-54559"><strong>READ: EXCLUSIVE: Jon Santos shares the secret to his lasting marriage  </strong></a></div><p>As the most veteran member of the cast with his years of experience onstage, Jon said he has nothing but good things to say about his fellow cast members. most whom he never worked with before.</p><p>“<em>They are the most generous, supportive, giving children. Mga apo ko yan. Yan ang lagi kong pinagmamalaki. I was blessed with a fabulous set of co-actors. That’s the only explanation, aside from higher power. Because you lead by their examples. Sabi nila tatagal ka if you work with young people</em>,” he admitted.</p><p>When asked for his observation of this growing new crop of theater artists in the country, Jon shared why he considers them all highly talented individuals. “<em>They are directing earlier. You are with young cast members who are in their other projects directors, producers, writers, choreographers, and most importantly, teachers. Ngayon lang sa batch na ito. I have not done that many musicals but in this particular one, this basket of brilliant co-actors who are also wearing many, many hats. Mga batang director. Bago pa i-blocking yung eksena, lahat may kanya kanya ng idea of possibilities</em>,” he explained. </p><p>Watch Jon Santos in<em> Side Show</em> the musical which starts its run on July 26 until August 17, 2025 at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater, Circuit Makati. The cast also includes CJ Navato, Vien King, Reb Atadero, Tim Pavino, Tanya Manalang, Marynor Madamesila, Krystal Kane, Molly Langley, Joshua Cabiladas, Marvin Ong, and many more. Directed by Toff Devenecia and produced by The Sandbox Collective. </p>
