Gerard Pizarras shares battle with Bell’s Palsy for the second time: ‘God healed me’

<p>Kapamilya actor Gerard Pizarras revealed that he suffered from another Bell’s Palsy attack back in June. This time around, it was his right side that took the hit. Jan recalled how they were just coming from the grocery when it happened. </p><p>“Kakagaling lang namin sa grocery when he felt stiffness on the right side of his face. She added how it only took 21 days for him to heal and until now they don’t know what caused it to happen to him again.</p><p>“Honestly, hindi rin namin alam kung bakit. Basta ang alam namin, number one, we wanted to deal with it as privately as possible and number two, we also wanted to do the holistic or alternative approach,” she added.</p><p>Gerrard had several treatments done which included acupuncture in his face–– particularly the side that had been affected from the Bell’s Palsy.</p><p>For the celebrity couple, they didn’t take this negatively and instead trusted that everything will work out in the end–– just like what happened 21 years ago.</p><p>“Hindi kami nagmukmok–– tuloy na tuloy ang buhay namin. Tuloy ‘yung mga dance challenge, ang mga rampa, workout niya, late nights in between his treatment days. Our optimism as a family definitely came from the source of peace, Jesus Christ,” she expressed.</p><p>Jan gave credit to their faith who has been their source of strength and expressed her gratitude towards the medical team that helped Gerard’s fast recovery. </p><p>“That’s how amazing God is. He is our ultimate healer talaga and we’re thankful that he led us to the healthcare providers na talagang swak na swak sa amin,” she shared. </p><p>Friends and fans of Gerard offered their prayers in the comment section after finding out about the Bell’s Palsy attack on the actor. </p><p>“Praying for healing. Laban tayo kuya and ate! God is good,” Diana Zubiri wrote.</p><p>“I’m glad Gerard quickly overcame this, again. Praise God 🙌❤️ praying for continuous healing,” Jackie Forster added.</p><p>Gerard is just one of the few celebrities who opened up about their Bell’s Palsy attack. Just this year, singer-actress Frenchie Dy shared the story about her third attack and how she has been getting therapy for it. </p>
