<p>K-Pop icon BoA is set to undergo surgery after being diagnosed with acute osteonecrosis in her knee.</p><p>As reported by <em>The Korea Times,</em> the health predicament has led to the cancellation of the singer&#x27;s much-anticipated solo concert.</p><p>The singer sought medical attention after experiencing escalating pain in her knee. Following a thorough examination, doctors diagnosed her with acute osteonecrosis.</p><p>As per <em>Mayo Clinic</em>, osteonecrosis or avascular necrosis is &quot;the death of bone tissue due to a lack of blood supply. It can lead to tiny breaks in the bone and cause the bone to collapse. The process usually takes months to years.&quot; While anyone can develop the condition, it most frequently occurs in individuals aged 30 to 50.</p><p>BoA’s upcoming solo concert, which was slated to commence at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul in August, has been called off to prioritize her health.</p><p>“We sincerely apologize to fans for the sudden news.
