Gusto ko na ang maaalala nila is family, hindi trauma,” she said. </p><div> </div><p>In the same vlog, the 21-year-old actress once again looked back as to why she took a break from showbiz, emphasizing that it’s not meant to paint her parents in a bad light.  </p><div> </div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/2024/2/10/xyriel-manabat-shares-reason-she-went-on-hiatus-from-showbiz-1614" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>READ: Xyriel Manabat shares reason she went on hiatus from showbiz</strong></a></div><div> </div><p>“Isa rin po sa rason kung bakit ako nag-stop (sa showbiz), akala ko okay na,” she recalled. “Tapos nung mag-18 na po ako, nung kukunin ko na po ‘yung passbook ko, doon ko po nalaman na wala na, ubos siya. And at the same time, para sa akin nung panahon na yun, masakit. I felt betrayed. Wala po akong pili sa role, sa kasamang artista, as long as meron pong pumapasok,” she added. </p><div> </div><p>Xyriel is part of the stellar cast of the recently released Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean drama<em> It’s Okay To Not Be Okay</em>, starring Anne Curtis, Joshua Garcia, and Carlo Aquino, which premiered on Friday, July 18 on Netflix and iWant, and will be airing on Kapamilya Channel and Kapamilya Online Live on July 21. </p><div> </div><p>She also is part of the critically acclaimed film <em>Sunshine</em> which is headlined by Maris Racal. The highly anticipated local premiere is set for July 23 in SM Cinemas nationwide.</p>
