EXCLUSIVE: Joaquin Arce on possibly working with stepmom Angel Locsin: ‘We’ll see’

<p>Kapamilya actor Joaquin Arce is hopeful that he can get the chance to work on a project in the future with his stepmom, Angel Locsin. Joining the cast are Beauty Gonzalez, Adrian Alandy, and Nova Villa, among others. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2025/7/24/angel-locsin-sparks-showbiz-comeback-buzz-with-surprise-social-media-post-2106"><strong>READ:Angel Locsin &#x27;can’t wait to work with&#x27; stepson Joaquin Arce</strong></a></div><p>He revealed that his character doesn’t stray too far from his real self–– with the only exception of Gino being more quiet than he is in real life. He jokingly shared that the preparations he did for the role was to be a little more quiet than usual.</p><p>“Actually, yung character ko hindi siya sobrang layo sa personality ko. Although, madaldal akong tao, medyo quiet siya so I guess yung preparation ko, tahimik,” he quipped.</p><p>Joaquin added that the director gave him more technical pointers while they were filming the series such as not looking at the camera and keeping fidgeting to a minimum. </p><p>When asked about what Angel advised him as her stepson, the Kapamilya actor shared how she told him to be just himself and make it look as natural as possible–– something Angel is known for in most of her works. </p><p>“Sabi niya since malapit yung character sa akin, as much as possible, &#x27;wag ako mag act–– make it look legit. Try to be yourself with the touch of your character,” he added.</p><p>Joaquin is hopeful that they could work on something in the future but for now, no plans have been made as of this writing. He expressed being open to act in all the genres possible if given the opportunity–– whether it be drama or action.</p><div><script data-wid="auto" type="text/javascript" src="https://content.viralize.tv/display/?zid=AAFz8gWM8iRADsJr&amp;cid=ABdXiMtiZQw3xgds"></script></div><p>“We’ll see,” he teased.</p><p>“Actually, lahat po. On the top of my list [would be] action and romantic comedy pero of course open din ako sa drama. Maybe if I act well enough, makakasama ko po yung step mom ko na si tita Angel,” he continued. </p><p>Meanwhile, Joaquin shared that his parents were supportive of his decision to enter the showbiz industry. He added how they assured him that they will be right behind him when things get hard. </p><p>“Well at first, they wanted me to be sure na talagang gusto ko ‘to so they said always be myself. When things get hard, I can always go back to them,” he explained. </p><p>Joaquin recently signed with Star Magic and is co-managed by Cornerstone Entertainment. </p>
