Celebrity couple Fumiya Sankai and Kate Valdez opened up about how they first met.In an interview with Boy Abunda, the two revealed that they were introduced at an event by a mutual friend.&quot;We have a common friend and that time I have event, [I was] performing. That time I didn&#x27;t expect [she would be] there to watch me perform,&quot; Fumiya shared.Kate, on the other hand, shared that she was already familiar with Fumiya before their first meeting as she used to watched him on Pinoy Big Brother: Otso.&quot;After niya po mag-perform so pinakilala po kami ng common friend... Ah ito pala &#x27;yung event na inattendan ko, siya pala &#x27;yung performer. Sinabi lang [ng friend ko] na samahan mo ako... And then, I know him. Sabi ko sa kanya, &#x27;Actually pinapanood kita. Tawang-tawa ako sa&#x27;yo. You always made my day,&#x27;&quot; she said.From there, their friendship grew and eventually blossomed into romance.When asked if it was love at first sight, Fumiya admitted, &quot;Yeah. Parang I don&#x27;t know what is love, pero when I saw her I feel parang fire... Nagsabi na siya sa akin ng nararamdaman niya,&quot; she said.
