Kapamilya talents were recognized at 8th  Empowered Men and Women of the Year awards held in San Juan City.Among this year’s Empowered Men and Women of the Year awardees  were actresses Chie Filmeno, Elisse Joson, and Michelle Vito; Star Magic Manager Gidget dela Cuesta and ABS-CBN entertainment reporter Anna Cerezo.“I&#x27;m basic when choosing awardees, makikita sa performances. I really wanted pwede mag honor Kahit di sikat as long as they are able to show outstanding performance in their chosen field,” organizer Richard Hinola III said in an interview.The event is in celebration of Best Magazine’s 9th anniversary. The platform is also known for its advocacies.“Annually gumagawa kami charity 4 times, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, naghananap kami taong matutulungan,” he explained. Other personalities honored were Paolo Gumabao and Kris Bernal.
