Carla Abellana gives hit-and-run dog victim a ‘proper burial’: ‘It’s the least thing I could do’

<p>Actress Carla Abella turned emotional after she spoke about an aspin (asong pinoy) that she found dead along Quezon City Circle. </p><p>Carla, who has long been an animal welfare advocate, asserted that the dog was a victim of a hit-and-run incident, adding that it has been dead for at least 24 hours as the body &quot;started decomposing&quot; already.</p><p>“Unfortunately, the hit-and-run victim is deceased. I could tell because it was already by the gutter,” said Carla in a video she posted on Threads, as she went on to describe the sorry state of the animal when she found it. </p><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1756633953956carla.jpg" style="width:600px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>“It seems that somebody hit the aspin and managed or was still kind enough to move the aspin’s body to the gutter by the sidewalk,” she added.  </p><p>With the help of her driver, Carla took home the dog’s remains and initiated a proper burial in an empty lot nearby her house. </p><p>“I’m giving him or her a proper burial because it’s the least thing I could do. Hindi ‘yung picture lang or video lang tapos report o di kaya post lang or ask for rescuer or shelter’s help.” </p><p>“You are someone, you can do something. Don’t take pictures and videos and post ask for help.
