Lindsay Lohan shares why she decided to move to Dubai

<p>Lindsay Lohan opened up about what led her to move to Dubai, where she now resides with her family.</p><p>In a recent interview on<em> Live with Kelly and Mark</em>, the actress explained that she enjoys the normalcy her life offers there.</p><p>&quot;It&#x27;s just far away from Hollywood and I&#x27;ve lived a very normal life. There&#x27;s no worry of like I can&#x27;t go eat at this place because someone&#x27;s gonna take a picture of my son. I feel very safe,&quot; she said.</p><p>Lindsay also noted that Dubai’s privacy laws provide a stark contrast to the paparazzi culture in Hollywood.</p><p>&quot;You can’t take a picture of someone else if you’re in a restaurant. You have to ask the person, which is a big difference from here (referring to the US). She shared that her life there follows a set routine.</p><p>“Sometimes, I call it <em>The Truman Show</em>, because it’s the same thing every day,&quot; she quipped. &quot;But I love it. I really love structure because I don&#x27;t think I had that when I was young. Everything was coming so fast and I had so many things happening. My only structure was filming and being on set.“</p><p>She added that Dubai provides her “that space to have my own vision of what I need to do next“ when it comes to her career and future ventures.</p><p>It was also in Dubai where Lindsay met her husband, Bader Shammas, at a restaurant. The couple tied the knot in April 2022.</p><p>Back in July 2023, the couple welcomed their first child named Luai.</p><p>In an interview with <em>E! News</em> in November 2024, Lindsay opened up about her journey as a mother.</p><p>“In the beginning, I didn&#x27;t want to miss a moment. Even when the baby is sleeping, you tend to become a little stalker,“ she recalled. “But once you get into a good system, you start to understand that it&#x27;s okay to take time.“</p><p>She went on: “After giving birth, you realize, as women, how strong we are. We forget to give ourselves credit for that. There are moments when we should take a break, sit down and stop and think about all of the things we do and how much power we have. I&#x27;ve learned that this past year more than I knew before.“</p>
