Kasi we were talking about it during the meeting na, ‘yun nga, ‘yung whole situation ng nangyayari sa atin sa Philippines, ‘di ba? And, parang naisipan namin na sumali, gano&#x27;n. So, sabi ko, sige, sarado muna natin ‘yung restaurant para makasali tayo,” he shared.</p><p>David pointed out that it was something his staff genuinely wanted to participate in.</p><p>“Alam ko na gusto talaga nila gawin ‘yun. So, ‘yun, sabi ko na, sige, sarado muna natin ‘yung restaurant natin para na-exercise nila ‘yung rights nila. Kasi syempre, marami silang pinaglalaban,” he said.</p><p>An earlier post on their business’s social media page underscored that power comes from the people, not the other way around.</p><p>“Let us remember: The sovereignty and spirit of the Philippines lie, first and foremost, with the Filipino people. The power of government is borrowed from the people. You know, so, everyone na makakausap ko, kung meron silang problema, I would always ask them kung saan sila nanggagaling and also put my shoes in their shoes para magkaintindihan, ‘di ba? I mean, at the end of the day, ang isang tao, maraming pinanggagalingan eh. Pwedeng stressed sila sa bahay, pwedeng stressed sila sa ganito, baka ‘di sila masaya sa current environment na pinagtatrabuhan nila. So, you just have to empathize and ask them na sa’n ka nanggagaling. Kasi maybe then we can work it out together,” he explained.</p><p>David added that he’s not the type to be led by anger, stressing instead the importance of taking a step back to see from another’s perspective.</p><p>“You know, as opposed to like, magagalit ka na lang na, parang ‘Ba&#x27;t mo ginagawa yan?’ I think kailangan na lagi tayong may empathy, para sa pagkakaintindihan. Because again, you know, sa nangyayari sa mundo natin, kahit nga dito sa Philippines, alam naman natin ‘yun ‘di ba? You just have to be nice to everybody,” he said.</p><p>The sought-after leading man recently headlined the second day of Bench Fashion Week and is now gearing up for an upcoming project.</p>
