Carla Abellana on being the Patron Saint of Concerned Citizens: ‘Filipinos are so creative’

<p>Kapuso actress Carla Abellana expressed that she has no problem with being called the Patron Saint of Concerned Citizens and the Queen of Call Out by netizens. Paano po nila naiisip? How did they come up with such titles pero I guess in a way, medyo flattered. Kasi nabibigyan ng title, nabibigyan ng pansin. For me, laughing matter nalang siya,” she shared.</p><p>The Kapuso star added how her frustration really comes out the moment she knows something’s not right. </p><p>“As long as I’m affected by it or it hits me personally. Parang, I feel involved or I feel affected by it directly in some way… Parang lumalabas talaga kasi yung frustration, galit. Pag ganun, medyo doon na ako hindi ko na pipigilan kung hindi mag call out or mag voice out,” she explained.</p><p>She admitted that she wasn’t like this at the beginning as she used to be quiet but since things are getting out of hand, she wanted to make sure people will be held accountable by using her platform on social media. </p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2025/8/4/carla-abellana-reveals-she-is-dating-someone-it-s-about-time-1226"><strong>READ: Carla Abellana reveals she is dating someone: &#x27;It’s about time’</strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>“Quiet lang ako hindi ako yung nangingialam or what. I guess siguro yung frustration na rin yun yung trigger kasi I feel like it’s about time I use my voice. Enough na yung pagiging tahimik. If you want to prove a certain point, if it really affects you in a certain way then speak up about it,” she continued.</p><p>Despite this, Carla knows that she will get bashed with how she’s handling this as not everyone will agree with her type of confrontation and call out on social media. She maintained that as an artist and a public figure, she already understood this when she began doing it.</p><p>“It comes with the risk, it’s part of the risk you take na talagang hindi talaga lahat mag agree with you. Of course, may magagalit, may mag rereact negatively–– hindi maiiwasan yun. I guess sanay na rin ako because of our industry na talaga na ultimong wala ng kinalaman from the past, hinahalungkat, ibabalik, gagamitin nila yun. Honestly to me, it’s nothing,” she ended. </p>

<p>For Carla Abellana, she wants to make sure she uses her platform the right way. </p>
