Sofia Vergara recalls Jessica Sanchez auditioning on first day of ‘AGT’ season 20: ‘I immediately knew she was special’

<p>Sofia Vergara expressed her excitement on the big win of Jessica Sanchez on <em>America&#x27;s Got Talent</em>, who happened to be her golden buzzer for this season and her second golden buzzer for her entire stint on the program.</p><p>&quot;It&#x27;s so exciting for me that this is my second golden buzzer,&quot; she said in an interview with<em> Extra. </em></p><p>The <em>AGT</em> judge shared that Jessica actually performed on the first day of the latest season&#x27;s filming and she knew then that Jessica was special.</p><p>&quot;It was actually the first day of season 20 that she performed, and I immediately knew there was something special about her. And so, maybe it took me 20 years, but I know exactly who I am. And, I know exactly what I want. I&#x27;m excited to be back.&quot;</p><p>During her audition for the 20th season, Jessica performed &quot;Beautiful Things.&quot;</p><p>Her performance instantly captured the attention of Sofia and the rest of the judges.</p><p>&quot;I think there&#x27;s something very special happened on the stage with you. It&#x27;s so amazing that we are on 20th anniversary, the 20th season of AGT. You are here again after 20 years, you are pregnant. So you are so beautiful, you are so ready to do all this... This was a special moment and I think that you deserve this,&quot; Sofia remarked before hitting the golden buzzer for the Filipino-American singer.</p>
