EXCLUSIVE: Kris Bernal looks back on being ‘super thin,’ shares how she takes care of herself as a hands-on mom

So, very important sa’kin lalo na when I had my baby. Sabi ko talagang this year, ang priority ko talaga is my health,” she said, adding that it is very important for her to take her weekly treatments like the NAD IV drip and Vital Dome, especially now that she is getting back to work.</p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2025/3/11/kris-bernal-shares-how-her-mother-inspired-her-parenting-style-1848"><strong><u>READ: Kris Bernal shares how her mother inspired her parenting style</u></strong></a></div><div> </div><p>Looking back, Kris recalled a phase in her life when she felt she was at her unhealthiest. “Siguro ‘yung time na I was super thin that people thought na mukha na kong may sakit or anorexic na ko. Talagang may phase ako na ganon, na I was only, parang 88 pounds, and my waistline was only 20,” she opened up.  </p><p>“Yun ‘yung, I thought I looked good. I thought I was healthy. But then, I deprived myself of a lot of things like food. Hindi talaga ako kumakain. And then, grabe ‘yung workout ko. Noong napansin ‘nung mga tao, ‘Oh, you look better ‘nung nagkalaman ka.’</p><p>“Tapos, when I look at my old pictures, sabi ko, ‘Oo nga, bakit ganon ‘yung itsura ko dati?’ Parang hinayaan ko lang na parang hindi ako nakinig sa advice ng ibang tao na sobrang payat ko, hindi na maganda. Talagang, hindi ko mapicturan ‘yung sarili ko at hindi ko ma-share sa social media kasi hindi siya maganda, parang ganon.”</p><p>Nonetheless, she finds joy in the small windows of time she gets for herself. “So, tutok ako sa baby ko the whole day, pero how do I destress? Siguro, when my baby takes a nap, I find time for myself, I work out, I go swimming, or ‘yun nga nagpapamassage ako. Hindi naman daily, pero ‘yun ‘yung mga nagpapahappy sa’kin.”</p><p>“Like sa social media ko, I take time to improve my pages, mga social media platforms ko. ‘Yan ‘yung mga ginagawa ko kapag tulog si baby, or may time ako for myself,” she added.</p>
