<p>Palanca award-winning author and scriptwriter Noreen Capili has added her voice to the growing list of industry personalities defending Coco Martin after allegations made by former<em> </em><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/studios/tv/batangquiapo" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><em><strong>FPJ’s Batang Quiapo</strong></em></a> actor Rod Navarro Jr. circulated on social media earlier this week.  </p><p>The issue began when Rod Jr. took to Facebook to claim that he was not treated kindly by Coco and some members of the production staff during his stint on the primetime series, where he joined the cast in 2024 and portrayed the role of Dindo.</p><p>In his post, Rod Jr. referenced a clip from Coco’s 2025 interview with Bianca Gonzalez, in which the actor-director spoke about helping an unnamed individual by offering work and even encouraging him to start a small business for his family. In his post, he wrote, “Hindi ka totoo. She recalled being diagnosed with a ruptured aneurysm in 2011 and how Coco extended a helping hand despite not knowing each other personally.  </p><p>“Noong na-aneurysm ako noong 2011, nagbigay si CM [Coco Martin] ng 50k kahit hindi niya ako kilala. Hindi pa siya nagbibida sa teleserye noon. Wala siyang obligasyon sa akin. Hindi niya ako kaano-ano. Nalaman ko na lang na tumulong siya para may pambayad ako sa ospital. Tahimik. Marami na siyang natulungan sa industry, at marami pa siyang matutulungan. You can’t put a good man down.” </p><p>Noreen’s statement echoed the sentiments of other celebrities who also expressed support for Coco, including Ogie Diaz, John Medina, and McCoy De Leon. They, too, shared accounts portraying the actor-director as a professional who has consistently been helpful and respectful to actors and crew members alike.  </p>
