Gil Cuerva speaks out on viral intimate video, says it is a violation of his privacy

<p>Actor Gil Cuerva has addressed the intimate video circulating online that has been linked to him, saying that the recording was taken without his knowledge or consent and calling its distribution a serious violation of his privacy.  </p><p>Earlier this month, Gil was among the actors who went viral after clips apparently showing them in intimate situations began circulating across social media platforms and messaging apps. </p><p>Aside from Gil, actors Nikko Natividad, Arron Villaflor, and Ron Angeles were also allegedly linked to separate intimate videos that spread online. The authenticity of the circulating clips has not been verified. </p><p>In a post on Instagram on March 5, Gil addressed the issue directly, explaining that the video circulating online had been recorded without his knowledge. He also made it clear that the statement would be the only time he would speak about the matter. </p><p>“The video being shared online was recorded without my knowledge or consent during a private moment. The use of a hidden camera and the distribution of that recording are serious violations of my privacy and constitute a crime,” he wrote in an official statement. </p><p>The actor also expressed gratitude to those who reached out to support him amid the controversy, adding: “Thank you to my friends and family who reached out with support during this time, and thank you to those who spoke up to defend my name.”  </p><p>“That&#x27;s all that really needs to be said. Mahiya naman kayo. You guys should have some DIGNITY &amp; RESPECT,” she replied to a netizen who said she made a good decision breaking up with the actor.</p><p>In another post, she continued to call out those spreading the clips.  </p><p>“Kadiri kayo. Repulsive. You guys are the absolute scum of the Earth,” she said. “Spreading false information and manipulated content about someone is punishable by law,” she emphasized in another post.</p>
