Dina Bonnevie and Michael De Mesa praise Fyang Smith’s acting

<p>Veteran actors Dina Bonnevie and Michael De Mesa had nothing but good words for the acting skills of Kapamilya star Fyang Smith. The two are set to play the roles of Katarina and Divino Verona, the parents of Raya Verona which Fyang portrays in the upcoming Prime series, <em>Love is Never Gone.  </em></p><div><iframe width="913" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/c80BZsDYGhM" title="Media Conference I #LoveIsNeverGoneOnPrime" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>During the mediacon for the highly anticipated series, Dina and Michael shared how they were pleasantly surprised by Fyang, with whom they had several scenes.</p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/2024/6/5/dina-bonnevie-recalls-near-death-experience-2011"><strong><u>READ: Dina Bonnevie recalls near death experience</u></strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>Michael believes that the Kapamilya actress will be one of the best actresses in the near future, with the performance she’s shown him in the series.</p><p>“I also want to give a special mention to [Fyang]. I told her this eh na for a newcomer, she really has something to offer and I believe that she will be one of our future best actresses, si Fyang,” Michael shared.</p><p>“Magaling siya. She knows her job, she knows her character, basta. Magaling siya in general. Like I said, she has the potential to be a really really great actor,” he added.</p><p>Dina couldn’t help but agree with the veteran actor and even expressed how she considers Fyang as her “baby girl” and treats her just like one of her children.</p><p>“I would say just like Michael said, Fyang has a lot to offer. I mean she has a lot to promise her audience. She is a multi-faceted performer,” Dina said. </p><div><br/></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2025/3/8/jm-ibarra-reveals-favorite-gift-he-received-from-fyang-smith-0828"><strong><u>READ: JM Ibarra reveals favorite gift he received from Fyang Smith</u></strong></a></div><div><br/></div><p>The veteran actress recalled a confrontation scene they had to shoot for the series and was “amazed” that the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate delivered what the scene needed.</p><p>“But I was amazed that she was able to deliver. So sa mind ko, magaling tong bulilit na to,” Dina maintained.</p><p>Apart from Dina and Michael, actress Ara Mina, who has a special participation in the series, also had good words for Fyang.</p><p>“Nag-enjoy ako katrabaho sila and nung una feeling ko suplada si Fyang. Sabi ko, ay hindi ako pinapansin. Hindi, nahihiya lang pala siya. Nahihiya lang pala siya pero totoo yung sinabi ni Ms. D na very parang bata pa pero pag nag deliver nga, pag nasa eksena na, she can deliver talaga. Hindi siya nahihirapan umiyak,” Ara shared.</p><p>Meanwhile, <em>Love is Never Gone</em> will be exclusively streaming on Prime starting on May 8. The highly-anticipated series was shot in Morocco–– the first Filipino series to do so. It is topbilled by Kapamilya stars Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi. </p>
