Before scrim and after scrim, nanonood lang ako… Ngayon hindi na nakakanood masyado. Parang nagbago talaga siya. Kasi ang game ko talaga ay DOTA 2 so parang comp shop. Lagi akong nasa comp shop and that time nagka-pandemic bawal lumabas. Wala rin akong pc sa bahay namin. And wala rin akong cellphone so hinihiraman ko lang dati yung cellphone ng kapatid ko. Doon nag-start nagkaroon ako ng mga tropa. Binilhan ako ng cellphone ng parents ko then ayon tuloy-tuloy na,” Frince recalled.</p><p>From his amateur days to becoming a world champion, Frince has now earned the role of team captain of ONIC Philippines, a responsibility he admitted sometimes requires him to be strict despite his soft demeanor.</p><p>“Madalas (strict ako) sa mga practices gano&#x27;n. Kasi yun talaga, di talaga mawawala yung parang minsan hindi maganda yung magiging laro. So parang papaalalahan namin yung isa’t isa kung ano yung mas i-improve namin. Kahit ako naman, nagkakamali din kahit sa mga practices,” he admitted.</p><p>He also opened up about how straightforward he is when it comes to leading the team.</p><p>“Straightforward ako magsabi pag may nakita akong ikaka-improve ng isa naming kampi or sa akin man or sa mga coaches parang sinasabi ko talaga. Pinag-iisipan ko sinasabi ko,” Frince added.</p><p>Best known for his miracle plays, including his iconic solo base defense using only a support mage, Frince shared some tips on how he pulls off clutch plays. “Parang every time naman sa game parang maghahanap ka ng way para manalo. So parang naiisip ko lang yun na lang yung way para manalo and umayon naman. So na-defend ko nung time na yon.”</p><p>Frince also humbly reacted to former coach Ynot’s comment about how it is hard for the team to win without him.</p><p>“Siguro sa point of view niya naman yan. So parang okay lang naman kasi galing naman sa kanya. Naging player niya rin kami. Ako di ko rin masabi sa akin kung gano&#x27;n ako. Pero sa point of view niya as a coach, parang na-observe niya kami. Siguro, para sa amin parang confident lang kami every game. So parang, doon kami maghihilaan pataas sa confidence namin and kung paano namin ilabas yun sa isa&#x27;t isa. Yung mindset namin sa mga remaining games namin, parang laruin lang namin ng parang mas malinis pa para makahanap kami ng mga mistakes namin sa mga every game at maayos,” he shared.</p><p>The MPL PH Season 17 Playoffs will happen from May 27 to 31 at the San Juan Arena.</p>
