MANILA — Months after his breakup with Maris Racal made headlines, Rico Blanco candidly reflected on love, heartbreak, and relationships, admitting that he has learned the hard way that “love is not enough” to make things last.In an interview with Boy Abunda on Thursday, Blanco was asked what he once believed about love that he no longer sees the same way now.&quot;I thought before that if you found someone who you really loved and they loved you too, that was enough. No. There&#x27;s other stuff like where you are in life, where the other person is in their life and &#x27;yung timing niyo, &#x27;yung timetable niyo. &#x27;Yung edad mo, &#x27;yung edad ng ibang tao. Medyo siguro naive ako dati or hindi ko alam kung  ganoon ba dapat, that&#x27;s what I&#x27;m trying to find out. Especially itong past couple of years, medyo nagtatanong-tanong pa rin ako,&quot; he said.Asked if he had ever cried because of love, Blanco replied, “All the time.”When asked about the key lesson he learned from past relationships, he said: “Siguro ibigay mo pa rin lahat kasi kahit anong mangyari, there will be no regrets afterwards, right?”While he is currently single, he said he is &quot;also open to not being single&quot; and that marriage is still a possibility but it has to be with the right person.Currently, Blanco is promoting his upcoming movie with Sue Ramirez titled <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/movies-series/2026/4/10/rico-blanco-is-sue-ramirez-s-leading-man-in-new-rom-com-project-1208" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">&quot;Project Baby.&quot;</a>
