M/V" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>Upon their debut on May 17, 2009, with the hit single “Fire,” the group officially introduced themselves to the world. 2NE1 was composed of leader CL, main vocalist Bom, main dancer Minzy, and vocalist-visual Dara, widely known in the Philippines as Sandara Park.</p><div><br/></div><div><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fphoto.php%3Ffbid%3D124299500952586%26set%3Da.124299070952629%26type%3D3&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500" width="500" height="250" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><p>According to prior reports, leader CL began training under YG Entertainment in late 2006 and was officially confirmed as part of the lineup in 2007, before debuting in 2009. </p><p>Bom, despite initially failing several auditions, eventually joined the company and gained early recognition for her vocal talent, including attention from music fans through her feature in BIGBANG’s “We Belong Together.”</p><p>Meanwhile, maknae Minzy was discovered by YG Entertainment after an online clip of her dancing caught people&#x27;s attention, leading her to join the company as a trainee at a very young age.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Pambansang Krung-Krung to K-pop Superstar</strong></div><p>Dara was the last member to join the group, with reports noting that she trained for two years before debuting. According to her, the rigorous training system included singing, dancing, and acting lessons. She later established herself as a Kapamilya leading lady, starring in several hit films, including <em>Bcuz of U (2004), Can This Be Love (2005), </em>and <em>D’ Lucky Ones (2006).</em></p><p>She eventually left Philippine show business and returned to South Korea with her family in 2007. At the MAMA Awards, they achieved another career-defining moment in 2011 when “I Am the Best” was named Song of the Year.</p><p>In November 2012, 2NE1 were honored with the Prime Minister’s Commendation at the Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards, a recognition reserved for those who have made a meaningful impact in their field.
