<p>Pride is more than just a celebration. For many, it is a journey of courage, self-discovery, and choosing to live truthfully despite fear and uncertainty. </p><p>Over the years, several Filipino celebrities and personalities have openly shared their stories of coming out, becoming symbols of strength and representation for the LGBTQIA+ community. Through their journey, they have inspired countless others to embrace who they are. </p><p>Here are some of the personalities who continue to live proudly as part of the rainbow community:  </p><div>  </div><div><strong>Klea Pineda </strong></div><p>It was on her birthday on March 19, 2023 when Klea publicly came out as gay during an interview with <em>24 Oras</em>. </p><p>“I&#x27;m proud na sabihin sa lahat ng mga Kapuso natin na I&#x27;m gay. I have a rainbow heart,” she said. </p><p>At the time, Klea turned emotional as she recalled nearly backing out of her decision out of fear that it might affect both her personal life and career. </p><p>“&#x27;Yung takot, nandidiyan siya parati pero mas nangingibabaw &#x27;yung excitement. While the two have remained private about their exact relationship status, they have openly spoken about how important they are to one another. Today, Angie continues to inspire many by balancing her passion for cars, advocacy, and family life. </p><p>This year, Angie marked the Transgender Day of Visibility by reflecting on her journey. </p><p>&quot;It’s been 10 years since my coming out and I am more than grateful for my rebirth. From seeing my old photos I truly am lucky to be living my best life at this moment,&quot; she wrote.  </p><p>She also spoke about the confusion and emotional struggles she faced before fully embracing her identity. </p><p>“It was truly confusing and mentally draining on what program was going to run in my brain and from my older photos I can see lots of my half smiles and unsureness. I feel lucky to have built everything from nothing, watched dreams materialize, and experienced the world together with my one person, ride or die, and best friend.
