'Zumba King' Ron Antonio to headline dance event ‘Wow Zayaw’

<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:500px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/173285970532320241129051136_image0 (12).jpeg" style="width:500px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="Ron Antonio"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Ron Antonio </span></span></span></div><p>Ron Antonio, dubbed as the country&#x27;s Zumba King and former Wiseguys member, is headlining a zumba dance event on December 1 at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City.</p><p>The annual event, held under Antonio’s trademark Zayaw Pilipinas, is set to bring together zumba and dance instructors from all around the country.</p><p>Last year, Antonio successfully hosted a jam-packed event and in 2018, he organized a historic zumba event in Pili, Camarines Sur, which gathered 14,000 attendees and was certified by Guinness World Records as the largest zumba class ever.</p><p>“I&#x27;m quite enthusiastic about the forthcoming zumba event. It not only emphasizes zumba, but also encourages a healthy lifestyle and a sense of community. Our zumba and dance instructors deserve recognition for their enthusiasm and energy. Zumba is everywhere,” Antonio said. </p><p>In a press release, Antonio said his purpose is to promote zumba as a form of fitness. Aside from the health benefits, he said it is also an event where you can meet new people and have fun.</p><p>Antonio created the brand Zayaw Pilipinas in November 2015 as a music album and after 9 years it  blossomed into a full-fledged fitness program.</p><p>Antonio has recorded and releases several zumba-inspired OPM albums, including Zayaw Pilipinas in 2016, Pinas Zayaw in 2018, Pinas Zayaw Remix in 2020, and Zayaw Remix in 2021.</p><p>On December 1, Antonio will release his latest EP &quot;Zayaw Mundo.&quot; The event will also include the Grand Zayaw Parade, in which all zumba groups will walk, dance, and parade in their colorful, glittering, festive costumes.</p><p>&quot;The difference is that I use my own music for all of my zumba events, as well as my Zumba Fitness program. I wrote all of the songs, and as an artist, I believe I should be innovative.
