MANILA -- MJ Macalintal, the son of character actor Dennis Coronel, is all set for Man Hot Star International 2024, scheduled for November 30 to December 7 in Thailand.

Magagamit ito para maging inspiration at maging role model sa mga kabataan,” he said during an interview with the media before flying to Thailand for the competition.

“Based sa previous videos, nakikita ko na this pageant is all about how you express yourself.

He feels the need to improve his speaking abilities, and fortunately, the King of Talk, Boy Abunda, provided him some advice.

Napakabait niya. Alam kong mahirap siyang ma-reach pero nabigyan ako ng opportunity,” he said.

The 23-year-old, who has a platform, expressed his support for high-quality education. During his time as SK chairman in Caloocan City, he saw the importance of encouraging the younger people to attend school.

He graduated from TUP Manila with a culinary technology degree and intends to work in both the entertainment and culinary industries.

“Kapag gusto ko ‘yung isang bagay, sobrang dedicated ako. Walang makakagulo sa akin hangga’t hindi ko nakukuha ‘yung isang bagay,” he said.

In addition to the pageant events, the 5-foot-11 Pinoy pride stated that he plans to try street food in Thailand. He is convinced that he will win the crown, with the entire Philippines behind him.

Gusto ko siyang ma-experience dun,” he told ABS-CBN News.
