More than a concert, the MaestroClass series offers audiences an up-close encounter with the Maestro, where they can listen, learn, and be inspired by his timeless music brought to life by Misalucha’s soaring vocals and Nievera’s unmatched showmanship.They will also be joined by the Ryan Cayabyab Singers, a vocal ensemble whose members Cayabyab personally handpicked, as they present a repertoire that celebrates the best of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) through heartfelt renditions and powerful live performances.When the two well-loved Filipino singers were asked which song of Cayayab they won&#x27;t get tired of singing, Nievera was quick to share, &quot;I won’t get tired of &#x27;Kay Ganda Ng Ating Musika&#x27; because it’s a song that says it all. Full of pride and passion, and it is one of the most challenging songs for any singer to perform. And no one can perform it better than the original by Hajji Alejandro. As much as I will never get tired of this song, singing it makes me very tired!”Misalucha, on the other hand, said, “The song I’ll never get tired of singing again and again is &#x27;Magbalik Ka Na Mahal.&#x27; Since I played the character of Sita in the musical &#x27;Rama at Sita,&#x27; I love singing it every day. That song has always had a special place in my heart.&quot;Both artists also revealed which Cayabyab compositions they hope to perform.“The song I have always wanted to sing Ryan’s remake of &#x27;Sometime Somewhere.&#x27; Wow! What a song -- so mysterious and vocally challenging,&quot; Nievera said. &quot;The melody changes make my hair stand, and that’s the kind of stuff I love to put my emotions into. But after hearing Arman Ferrer sing it, I think I might think twice about ever remaking this beautiful hit. Damn you Arman!&quot; Meanwhile, Misalucha said she would love to perform “Paraisong Parisukat” at the upcoming MaestroClass concert.&quot;It’s such a beautifully written piece, and the thought of performing it truly excites me,” she said.The MaestroClass concert promises an intimate and immersive experience at the 780-seat Proscenium Theater, which is the first in the Philippines designed with natural acoustics, ensuring that every note and nuance is heard in its purest form. Adding to its distinction, the theater houses the country’s first permanently installed Steinway pianos — one of which Cayabyab himself will play during the concert.
