Clad in their playful spring-inspired outfits, P-pop group BGYO wowed spectators as they walked the red carpet at the ABS-CBN Ball.

BGYO members Gelo Rivera, Akira Morishita, Nate Porcalla, Mikki Claver, and JL Toreliza were wearing pastel-colored suits with eye-catching flower embellishments, showing a different take on the event’s theme.

“This started in our group chat, the pegs were sent to us. We were able to go through two fittings, and we wanted to make it more flowery,” said Nate in a brief interview with Gretchen Fullido, explaining how they came up with their unique outfits.

When asked about what they are looking forward to at the event, Gelo and JL shared their own expectations.

“Ako, excited ako ma-reunite sa lahat ng mga Kapamilya and meet more people, and to have fun and celebrate," said the band leader Gelo, who’s also called “Kapitan” by their fans.

Meanwhile, JL, known for his fun personality, gave a straightforward answer: “Ako po food, gutom na [rin] po eh.”

The event’s hosts, Edward Barbers and Bianca Gonzalez commended the boy group for their high-fashioned looks as they appeared on the red carpet.

“I love it, I love it. If you are a fan of BGYO, and you see the album covers, the covers to all of the tracks on Spotify, this is almost reminiscent of their outfits as well. I love it when the boys are together, always looking great,” highlighting his observations on the boys’ consistency in terms of fashion.

Bianca also praised BGYO’s looks for the night: “I love the boys noh, they are so playful with their looks talaga, fearless.”

Jake Galvez, one of panel members for the ball, also gave emphasis on the “flowery” look the group had achieved: “I love the floral accessories, I can wear that.”

Last month, BGYO released their self-titled EP “Divine,” featuring their five songs “Divine,” “Trash,” “Light My Fire,” “Heartstrings,” and Andito Lang.”

“Nag-release po kami ng EP po, self-titled EP po. So, if you wanna listen po, just search BGYO on any streaming platform po,” Akira said in the same interview with Gretchen at the ball.

Mikki also invited their fans and listeners to watch their recently released music video: “Lumabas na rin po ang music video ng 'Divine' and all other lyric videos on YouTube so check it out.”

BGYO has been in the industry for four years after making their debut in 2021.
