Handout photo</div>Clark Global City in Pampanga will host the first Hiraya Night Sky Festival on January 17 and 18, as the area prepares for two days of aviation, motorsports, and visual displays.Designed as a full-scale, open-air event, the festival brings together Filipino music, aerial activities, motorsports, and large-scale visual elements in a day-to-night setting.On Saturday, January 17, the Filipino artist lineup features Amiel Sol, Earl Agustin, Sunkissed Lola, Juan Karlos, Cuatro Band, and Flow G. The opening night includes a hot air balloon light display at sunset, followed by a drone light show and a fireworks presentation that turns the Pampanga sky into part of the program.On Sunday, January 18, performances continue with Bandang Lapis, Rob Deniel, Carl Timboll, Kim Leo, Raya, and Dionela, before a closing set from IV of Spades. The second night concludes with an expanded hot air balloon display, another drone and fireworks show, and an official after-party led by DJ Lovezy.Unlike conventional music festivals that begin in the evening, Hiraya runs as a full-day event. Festival grounds at Clark Global City open at 6 a.m. Guests can access aviation exhibitions, motorsport showcases, experiential zones, and food concessions hours before the evening performances. Meanwhile, entry to the music festival grounds begins at 3 p.m., with live performances scheduled from 5 p.m. on both days.The festival concept draws from the organizers’ experience in staging hot air balloon events and their intent to broaden the scope of local festivals. “It’s not only a showcase of Filipino talents for music,” project manager Marvin Atienza said Monday at a press conference in Quezon City. “It’s a showcase of Filipino talents in different fields and on a different scale.”Aviation forms a central part of the event. Around 20 to 30 hot air balloons are scheduled for a simultaneous morning inflation at 6 a.m., with aerial displays by paramotor pilots alongside the balloon activities. A second balloon presentation is scheduled for the evening night glow. Organizers said all aviation operations follow strict safety protocols, with flights limited to designated open areas away from dense crowds.Motorsports also take a prominent role at the festival. Drift exhibitions and curated car shows are set across the festival grounds. The drift segment features Audel Sison, Arianne Sison, and Ashley Sison. Organizers said drift demonstrations and shotgun rides will be offered to select attendees as part of the motorsport program.The festival takes its name from the Filipino word “hiraya,” which means vision or dream. Organizers said the event aims to highlight Pampanga not only as the country’s hot air balloon capital but also as a growing hub for creative and technical talent. Ticket prices start at P500. Further details will be released through the official Hiraya Music Fest and Hot Air Balloon channels in the coming days.
