Sections of the arena glowed in soothing hues of red, green, blue and yellow, transforming the space into a shimmering sea of color.</p><p>In that rainbow-lit crowd, fans softly sang “Now Forever,” an all-English track from the group’s latest extended play (EP) “Love Pulse.” Listening to their voices fill the hall, one would not think many were already hoarse after nearly two hours of screaming and singing along.</p><p>Deafening shrieks erupted from the fans who packed the Pasay venue the moment the 10-member group — Choi Hyunsuk, Jihoon, Yoshi, Junkyu, Yoon Jaehyuk, Asahi, Haruto, Doyoung, Park Jeongwoo and So Junghwan — materialized onstage for the Manila stop of their “Pulse On” concert tour on Saturday.  </p><p>The crowd’s excitement was palpable from the get-go that, after the first five songs, rapper Hyunsuk remarked, “I love this crazy energy, yo.”</p><p>“Manila, sigaw! (Scream!)” Jeongwoo urged the crowd, drawing a thunderous response. The word “sigaw” would become a recurring cue the idols used throughout the night, each time met with the same unrelenting enthusiasm from the crowd.</p><p>Jeongwoo, flashing a thumbs up, later told fans, “Grabe! (Awesome!) Tonight, you are grabe!”</p><p>As if there was ever any doubt about the crowd’s energy, Hyunsuk even initiated an “energy check,” asking those on the floor, lower box and upper box sections to—what’s the word?—“sigaw” and see which group could be the loudest.</p><p>The response was so enthusiastic that, at one point when the members prompted only the floor section to scream, fans from the lower box joined in, filling the arena with overlapping cheers that prompted Hyunsuk to ask the lower box to hold back.</p><p>But of course, where else would the fans draw their energy from if not from their idols? Fortunately, Treasure broke into unit performances, allowing more time for each member to step forward and shine.</p><p>Jihoon, Junkyu, Jaehyuk, Doyoung and Junghwan took the stage as the sub-unit T5, performing their track “Move” with sensual choreography — fluid body waves, Junkyu sliding his hands across his thighs and Junghwan flashing his abs — that sent the crowd into a frenzy.</p><p>Asahi leaned into his rock star side with “Thank You,” briefly joined by fellow Japanese member Haruto, who, while best known as a rapper, also showcased his deep vocals.</p><p>The group’s rap trio of Hyunsuk, Yoshi and Haruto kept the crowd hyped with “VolKno,” a rock-infused rap performance that bathed the stage in red lighting and was amplified by bursts of pyrotechnics.</p><p>But it wasn’t all high-intensity tracks, as the group also delivered songs that leaned into pop and funk influences, including more recent singles “Yellow” and “Paradise” — the latter from the “Love Pulse” EP. It was in these songs that the members’ singing also had room to shine.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/music/2025/9/1/k-pop-group-treasure-tackle-different-moments-of-love-in-ep-love-pulse-1729"><strong>READ: Treasure tackle &#x27;different moments of love&#x27; in EP &#x27;Love Pulse&#x27;</strong></a></div><p>In “Better Than Me,” another all-English track from the EP, Treasure sings about a romantic interest’s new beau, insisting “he ain’t better than me,” with the song evoking the sound of classic boy bands from the late 1990s and early 2000s.</p><p>Watching the boys, who performed in the country for the fourth time, it was clear how well-rounded they were as idols.  Their performance skills — singing, dancing, and rapping — were a given, but what also made them a joy to watch was seeing them full of confidence and simply having fun onstage, as was apparent in several moments throughout the concert (presented by iMe Philippines). Some numbers no longer required full choreography, with the idols freely moving across the stage and interacting with the audience.</p><p>They also knew how to work the crowd, encouraging fans to stand up and jump along — sky-blue light sticks raised in the air — during the latter part of the show.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/177657551223520260418_201022.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Treasure. <em>Photo by Rose Carmelle Lacuata, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><div><strong>Back-to-back encore</strong></div><p>During the encore, Yoshi said the Manila fans’ energy allowed the group to feel “recharged.”</p><p>“You are one of the reasons why we love to be singers,” he said in Korean, with real-time subtitles displayed on the large screens, before once again urging the audience to—there’s that word again—“sigaw!”</p><p>When it was Jaehyuk’s turn to deliver his final message, he couldn’t even begin immediately because of the crowd’s screams, which visibly pleased him.</p><p>“Sometimes we get tired and stressed but every time we’re back in Manila, we feel empowered,” he said. “We wanna be back.”</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/events/2025/10/27/treasure-ph-is-one-of-our-favorite-places-to-perform-1908"><strong>READ: Treasure says PH is &#x27;one of our favorite places to perform&#x27;<br/></strong></a></div><p>&quot;It’s been a while since [we came] back but we love the energy and we promise to be back soon,&quot; Haruto said.</p><p>Aside from “BFF (Best Friend Forever),” “Wonderland,” “Clap!” and a rock remix of “Darari,” the encore set also featured a mashup that brought together several of the group’s tracks, including “B.O.M.B,” “Last Night” and “Going Crazy.”</p><p>After the boys left the stage, many in the audience remained in their seats, evidently waiting for more. The group eventually obliged, returning once again for an additional set featuring reprises of “Paradise,” “Mmm,” and “I Want Your Love.”</p><p>With the back-to-back encore sets, the energy felt truly nonstop, as if no one in the venue wanted the show to end. But even as the show concluded, it certainly left everyone with — as Asahi described the group’s visits to Manila — “beautiful memories.”</p>
