ALYSON, PLAYERTWO, Novocrane to represent PH in AXEAN Festival 2026

Handout photo</div>Filipino acts ALYSON, PLAYERTWO and Novocrane will represent the Philippines at AXEAN Festival 2026, a Southeast Asian music showcase and conference set to take place in Indonesia this August.The groups were selected by festival organizers, including co-founder and Philippine partner The Rest Is Noise PH.The inclusion of the acts reflects the global potential of the Filipino music community, The Rest Is Noise PH co-founder MC Galang said in a press statement.&quot;It’s especially meaningful for us to continue creating opportunities that connect Filipino artists with international audiences, industry professionals, and new markets,&quot; said Galang.The five-piece ALYSON is described as a band &quot;redefining city pop with timeless sound and unforgettable live performances.&quot; PLAYERTWO, on the other hand, is an alternative hip-hop collective, while Novocrane is an alternative indie band.The festival lineup has also announced a pool of Indonesian artists, including singer-songwriters Ndarboy Genk and Jo Soegono, experimental music quartet Basajan, Yogyakarta-based band LOR, trio Babon, Jakarta alt-rock band Satu Per Empat, jazz rock trio Emptyyy, and R&amp;B and soul star Noni.The roster of performers also includes Malaysian indie-pop outfit Masdo, alt-rock veterans Pitahati, and genre-defying artists Lil Asian Thiccie x dj magn3sium.Representing Singapore are acclaimed indie rock band Subsonic Eye and experimental collective sub, while Thailand&#x27;s independent music scene will be represented by Yellow Fang, INSPIRATIVE, SLOWWVES and Cupnoodle. Also joining the festival are Scamper from Macau and Treaks from France.The conference and festival, which will take place at Jimbaran Hub in Bali from August 29 to 30, will also feature a songwriting camp.This year, the event is also introducing a food and beverage concept inspired by Southeast Asia&#x27;s iconic hawker centers and food courts, bringing together dishes and culinary traditions from across the region.Early bird tickets are now available <a href="http://www.loket.com/o/axeanfestival">here</a>. Additional performing artists, conference speakers and program details will be revealed soon.Launched in 2020 by music industry professionals from across Southeast Asia, AXEAN Festival has been staged in both virtual and in-person formats. Over six editions, it has showcased more than 200 artists from 20 countries and attracted over 46,000 virtual viewers, as well as nearly 18,000 live attendees.
