Her most recent stage productions include “Every Brilliant Thing,” “Zsazsa Zaturnnah the Musical…’Yun Lang,” “Ang Huling El Bimbo,” “Bar Boys A New Musical,” and “Pingkian: Isang Musikal.”Her journey in theater has been inspired by names such as Isay Alvarez-Seña, Joanna Ampil, and Red Concepcion. However, it was her mother who gave it significance.“I am inspired by my mom who raised me as a single mother. I am inspired by my friends Joanna Ampil and Red Concepcion who have made their mark internationally, and are doing the work and living the dream abroad,” she exclusively told ABS-CBN News.Believing in herself and her own power as an artist, Teodoro added, “Inspirasyon ko rin ang sarili ko. I think we should be our own inspiration kasi we are all unique. Walang ibang Kakki sa mundo. No one has my experience, my journey, my thoughts. We need to be able to stand confidently in our power as actors and be proud of our achievements.”And her self-belief paid off at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2024, when she won Best Supporting Actress for Pepe Dioko&#x27;s film &quot;Isang Himala.&quot;When asked how she feels about beating off seasoned actresses Lorna Tolentino and Chanda Romero in the category, she told ABS-CBN News, “I remember my main thought seeing the nominations then until after my name was announced and I gave my speech: Grabe. What an honor.”“It was never a competition for me, but instead a celebration. What an incredible line-up of women of varying ages and acting backgrounds. Truly, I feel honored and incredibly happy to be in the company of seasoned and respected actresses,” she added.Surrounded by stars such as Vice Ganda, Judy Ann Santos, Eugene Domingo, Nadine Lustre, and Vilma Santos, the 37-year old actress entered the stage to receive her trophy shaking.“Naloka ako! Nagulat at sobrang saya na nanginginig at naiiyak sa tuwa at gratitude. Dream come true moment to win an acting award, and it happened, kaya hinayaan ko ang sarili ko to just feel everything. Hanggang ngayon when I watch the videos of the announcement and my speech, naiiyak pa rin ako,” she said.Teodoro hopes that their movie will get international recognition and be shown in more cinemas.“I hope our film gets more recognition internationally and is seen by more Filipinos in cinemas, and if ever, sa streaming platforms. I hope our producers get the return on their investment para sulit ang kanilang pagtaya sa amin, at marami pang ma-inspire to produce original Filipino movie musicals in the future. I hope &#x27;Isang Himala&#x27; inspires Filipinos with its rich legacy and message,” she said.Filled with appreciation, Teodoro believes that her acting profession has further potential. It doesn&#x27;t stop once you win an award. She wishes to collaborate with more actors and directors.“Gusto ko makatrabaho ulit sina Angel Aquino at Sylvia Sanchez (mga kasama ko sa &#x27;Senior High&#x27;), sina Kathryn Bernardo at Julia Montes at Dolly de Leon ulit. Mas madami pa sana kaming eksena na magkasama. I want to work with my fellow nominees Ms. Chanda Romero, Lorna Tolentino, Cristine Reyes, Gabby Padilla, Nadine Lustre. I want to work with Janine Gutierrez and Jodi Sta. Maria. I want to work with and learn from as many actors and directors here and abroad. I want to keep creating and collaborating, in safe and exciting new environments, to continue growing and improving,” she ended.
