<p>iWant’s newest reality offering, <em>AFAM Wives Club</em>, delivers an intimate and unfiltered look into the lives of Filipinas navigating cross-cultural relationships. Kasi when I did this show, I just came back from my international competition, in two days. So, I really need to just, you know, step it up. I was happy when I saw my friend Nathalie here because we&#x27;ve been bonded before. But not really gotten that close. To the point that it&#x27;s very personal. I always ask her about a lot of things. And of course, Mari. It&#x27;s different personalities, different stories of women that we are sharing in this show.”</p><div> </div><p>Keylyn also emphasized the importance of challenging misconceptions about Filipinas in interracial relationships.</p><div> </div><p>“It&#x27;s very important because it’s time to break stereotypes, &#x27;di ba? It&#x27;s not about foreigners na itataas ka sa kahirapan, na foreigners are the ones giving us the opportunity. No. Pinoy ang nagbibigay ng opportunity dahil Pinoy ang may gusto umahon sa buhay. &#x27;Yun &#x27;yung totoo. And this is all about that,” she explained.</p><div> </div><p>“It is also about hope and connection between the characters, us, that all of us are women sharing our stories that despite our differences, we have one thing in common and that is we know how to love,” she continued.</p><div> </div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1764083643705Screenshot 2025-11-25 231239.png" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/></div><div><strong> </strong></div><p>For actress Nathalie Hart, she admitted that joining the show feels like a “social experiment” and wanted to see more how each cast&#x27;s stories unfold to viewers.</p><div> </div><p>“I enjoyed filming, of course, and met a lot of people and I was able to, know, experience new things with them. Pero parang kinakabahan kasi ako,” she said. </p><div> </div><p>Meanwhile, Julia Chu said that taking her first step to a reality show is a “pretty high learning curve” experience.</p><div> </div><p>“I&#x27;m not used to the glitz and glam. So, I really appreciate the ladies and the directors for showing me the ropes and what showbiz is all about. So, it&#x27;s been really exciting. But at the same time, also nerve-wracking because you&#x27;re really showing your private life,” Julia said.</p><div> </div><p>“These are things that you share with family and friends and not with a general audience. But a large part of why we joined is really an advocacy. Both revealed that the series aims to offer a deeper, more nuanced look at Filipinas in interracial relationships.</p><div> </div><p>Rodina explained that the original concept came from iWant, but the creative team sought to present a fresh perspective.</p><div> </div><p>“Yung naging collaboration talaga namin is to actually how do we make a format out of the idea na magkaroon ng ‘AFAM Wives Club’ na concept talaga? Kasi, meron naman na talagang shows before na tinatry i-capture &#x27;yung relationship ng mga foreigners at ng mga Filipina. Para mas mag-focus talaga doon sa how &#x27;yung connection talaga nila doon sa kanilang relationships rather than the inciting incidents of their na yung parang lagi kasing notion, kapag AFAM, sagot sa Kahirapan, Cinderella story, &#x27;di ba? And I think it placed so many Filipinas into bad life.
