Vhong Navarro on first-ever It’s Showtime AWAAARD, says what's important is the joy they bring to people

<p>Vhong Navarro is celebrating big wins with an even bigger smile as he received multiple golden plaques during It’s Showtime’s first-ever It’s Showtime AWAAARD on December 6, held as part of the noontime show’s 16th anniversary celebration.</p><p>In an exclusive interview with <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>PUSH ABS-CBN</strong></a><strong>, </strong>the longtime host shared his reaction to being one of the top hosts to receive the most recognitions. With these award, he explained that what mattered most to him was the joy shared during the celebration. “Sobrang saya kasi ang importante rito hindi naman na ‘yung awards na nakuha namin pero ‘yung kahit papaano ay napasaya namin yung mga tao. Pinalabas ulit ‘yung mga kalokohan, inipon ng staff.” </p><p> https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19weQzobA6/  </p><p>He also praised the hard work poured into the weeklong anniversary festivities that led up to the awarding. “Nakakabilib nga e kasi sa dami ng ginawa namin nitong weeklong ng aming anniversary, nakuha pa nilang isa-isahin. Tsaka hindi lang per clip e, may mga gimik e. Kaya mas nakakatawa. Kaya sabi ko nga, ituloy lang namin ‘tong mga kalokohan.”  </p><p>According to him, this year&#x27;s anniversary felt lighter yet unexpectedly full of highlights. “Sabi ko nga, ito ‘yung pinakamasayang Magpasikat, ito yung mas relaxed para sa amin pero ang daming nangyari. Buong-buo.” </p><p>Vhong also shared how introducing the It’s Showtime AWAAARD brought a refreshing twist to their usual anniversary format. “Hindi ko akalain na pwede pala na ganito. Isa ‘yun sa mga gusto rin naming mangyari sa amin. Tumagal rin yung <em>It’s Showtime</em>, hindi lang sana 16 years.” He added how the show has become a source of pride for their network. “Kasi ang ABS-CBN ay sobrang proud na proud sa <em>It’s Showtime </em>kasi ito yung pinakamatagal nilang noontime show. Sana ay maabot pa namin yung mas mahaba pang panahon at taon.
