<p>Korean actor Byeon Woo-seok shared that he was instantly drawn to<em> Wife of a 21st Century Prince </em>the moment he read the script.</p><p>&quot;As soon as I read the script, I immediately felt that I wanted to take on this project,&quot; he said in an interview with <em>Elle Korea </em>as translated by Soompi.</p><p>Woo-seok teased that audiences will see a different side of him in this new role.</p><p>&quot;I hope viewers will look forward to seeing a new side of Byeon Woo-seok that I haven’t shown before. The plot follows Sung Hee-joo, a chaebol heiress who despite her wealth remains a commoner by status. She crosses paths with Lee Ahn (Woo-seok), a prince who, despite his royal lineage, finds himself with nothing. Their contrasting worlds collide in a love story filled with challenges.</p><p>Woo-seok portrays Lee Ahn, the king’s second son, who has lived a largely unnoticed life. However, his world shifts drastically after crossing paths with Sung Hee-joo, a woman who reshapes his outlook on life.</p><p>IU steps into the role of Sung Hee-joo, the ambitious and sharp-minded second daughter of Korea’s most powerful conglomerate family.
