Ganiel Krishnan, ABS-CBN News</div>MANILA -- Kapamilya actor-singer Gello Marquez is set to headline &quot;The Next Big Band,&quot; an upcoming reality music search under ABS-CBN Studios and ABS-CBN Music which aims to discover the country’s next breakout musical group.During a recent live music jam, Marquez shared the exciting news.  “Magkakaroon kami ng reality show under ABS-CBN Music and ABS-CBN Digital Team. Title po neto is ABS-CBN Music’s The Next Big Band,” he said. When asked what qualities he’s looking for in potential bandmates, the actor said he values more than just technical talent. “Actually, ako wala pa masyadong idea on how will it go, kung paano siya tatakbo. Pero ako, ang hinahanap ko lang naman talaga sa banda is someone na mahilig sa music siyempre. At may puso pagdating sa ginagawa niya. Mahirap kasi na puro skills lang, puro talent lang. He shared how his journey into songwriting began during a creative camp in Davao organized by ABS-CBN. “Actually, natuto lang ako magsulat talaga ng kanta nung nag-camp kami sa ABS sa Davao. Ang dami kong mga nakasama, mga music artists, and na-inspire ako, sabi ko, ‘Kaya nila, so what if try ko din?’” he said. He teamed up with a close producer friend to write music at home, drawing inspiration from various genres. “R&amp;B, hip-hop,” he said when asked about the style of his upcoming tracks. “Hopefully, makapag-release ako ng isa-isa muna siguro. Maybe this month or next month,” he added. Marquez is also expanding his acting portfolio as part of the cast of “Ghosting”, the newest ABS-CBN series starring former Pinoy Big Brother housemates JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith, alongside Vivoree and Kobe Brown. “Makikita niyo rin pala ako sa Ghosting, ang bago naming series… Ako doon si Tony. Ako ay multo na namatay nung 70s. Dalawa kami ni JM na multo doon,” he teased. Before venturing into acting and music production, Gello first captured public attention as a contestant on Idol Philippines. He later gained wider recognition as part of the hit DonBelle series &quot;He’s Into Her,&quot; where he charmed viewers with his onscreen presence.Taping for the series “Ghosting” is scheduled to begin this June.
