“I just had some prayers and then a week later or so, direk contacted me. So I guess that was a sign. I prayed for it and it came and I took it,” he shared.

In Beyond The Call of Duty, Mark plays Carlo Salazar, a high-ranking syndicate figure who brings chaos to the lives of Martin Del Rosario’s character, Ricky, and his team.

Mark revealed how much fun it was to take on the kontrabida character.

“It's been a long while. I think I did some kontrabida [roles] before. And some movies were shelved unfortunately. But it was fun. I was able to say what I want to say since it's rated PG-13. So I was just able to go [all] out. I didn’t restrict myself,” he said.

“It's actually one of the most surprising things that made me really happy was actually seeing my old-timer friends, like mga kabatch ko and other people I've worked with before. It's really fun, seeing them again, seeing they're doing well, that's what made me really happy,” Mark expressed.
