Bautista stated that she is very much like the character she plays in the show, saying, “Ara is unafraid to express how she feels. She’s very confident and she wears her heart on her sleeve. Nakaka-relate ako sa kaniya sa deep motivation to succeed para sa mga taong mahal namin, pero masasabi ko rin na mas matapang si Ara sa akin."

Meanwhile, Luna isn't alone in her anguish. Manang Boneng (Marnie Lapus) looks after her quietly at home, while Ben (Joao Constancia), her compassionate and patient team leader, provides soft assistance at work. Even Luna's officemates Jana (Jem Manicad) and Bridgette (Cheena Crab), despite their sharp tongues and lack of tact, will play a role in her personal development.

Because she is a real-life mother, Marnie Lapus understands her role, Manang Boneng. Manang Boneng, Luna's mother figure in the series, is viewed as extremely relatable — someone who understands the family dynamic. She is Luna's safe haven, someone she badly needs during a time of loss and emotional turmoil, and a source of clarity in the midst of chaos.
