New ‘Squid Game 3’ trailer teases final face-off as series heads to its conclusion in June

Netflix has released a new trailer two weeks before the release of the third season of Squid Game.On Friday, March 13, the streaming giant posted: &quot;The final season. The final faceoff. Squid Game 3 concludes June 27.&quot;In the trailer, Seong Gi-hun or Player 456, portrayed by Lee Jung-jae, is having a conversation with Jang Geum-ja or Player 14, played Kang Ae-shim.&quot;Are you blaming yourself for everything that has happened? No matter how you look at it, life is just unfair,&quot; Geum-ja told Gi-hun.&quot;Bad people do bad things, but they blame others and go on to live in peace. Good people on the other hand beat themselves up about the smallest things,&quot; she said. &quot;I still believe that you came here to save us all.&quot;The trailer showcases the journey of Gi-hun from season one leading to season 3. Although Gi-hun is at his lowest point yet, the Squid Game stops for no one.&quot;&quot;So Gi-hun will be forced to make some important choices in the face of overwhelming despair as he and the surviving players are thrust into deadlier games that test everyone’s resolve. With each round, their choices lead to increasingly grave consequences.&quot;At the same time, In-ho returns as the Front Man to host the mysterious VIPs, while his brother Jun-ho presses on with his search for the hidden island, unaware that a traitor might be hiding in plain sight.In a previous interview with Entertainment Tonight, Squid Game director Hwang Dong-hyuk teased what fans can expect in the third season of the series.&quot;As you saw in the end of the second season, all of Gi-hun&#x27;s attempts go to failure. And so season 3 picks up from there and you will get to see what kind of changes Gi-hun goes through when he&#x27;s just riddled with this guilt and sense of despair and loss and what&#x27;s going to happen to him after that, so that&#x27;s what you&#x27;ll get in the third season,&quot; he relayed.
