<p><em>Pilipinas Got Talent</em> just named its newest grand champion, and he’s spinning his way into the hearts of millions. </p><p>55-year-old construction worker Ricardo Cadavero, popularly known as Cardong Trumpo in the talent search, is a master of the traditional Filipino spinning top whose spectacular tricks and unbeatable passion earned him not only the title but also a staggering ₱2 million cash prize.</p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/17507268763149362a15b-1ef7-43d7-bb9b-a4e5adf599ec.jpg" style="width:300px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>In an exclusive interview with <strong>PUSH ABS-CBN</strong>, Cardo shared how he plans to use his earnings from the competition.</p><p>“Ang nagbigay sa akin ito, buong tao (at sambayanan) talaga. 55 years old na po ako at matagal kong inantay ito. Mababago na talaga ang aking buhay at lahat ng pagkakautang ko mababayaran ko. At ang isang anak kong hindi talaga nakapasok dahil wala talagang pera. Pero dito, iingatan ko ito at yung pamilya ko,” he shared.</p><p>Cardo also assured the public that he will discuss with his wife how to use the cash prize wisely and make sure it benefits their family’s future.</p><p>“Siguro, mag-uusap kami ng aking maybahay. Namnamin po muna namin ang magandang pag-uusap na ito kasi hindi biro. Sana hindi ito siya malustay o anuman. Kaming dalawa ang maghihigpit nito. Para sa kinabukasan ng aking mga anak, kinabukasan ng aking pamilya,” he added.</p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/17507269376147ffcda34-cfec-4c1e-af40-35aff41c63bd.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>He also shared that he hopes to move his family to a better home: “Ilalayo ko sila (ang pamilya ko) for safety bilang isang ama yun ang pangarap ko, pero sobrang yung binigay sa akin. Iingatan ko ito hanggang sa huli ng aking buhay, hindi masasayang,” he said.</p><p>Cardo, who was also visibly emotional, said why he felt that way even before the official announcement of his win.</p><p>“Hindi ko alam kung bakit gano&#x27;n ang naramdaman ko eh. Bigla na lang may pumasok sa dibdib ko na kakaiba. Yung sigaw ng tao na talagang hindi ako makapaniwala. Hindi ko talaga expect yun eh. Talagang (sabi ko) Diyos ko, bahala na kayo sa akin. Makapasok lang, okay na ako eh. Doon lang sa pangarap kong makabawas sa aking mga pangangailangan. At may pantawid ako doon sa pang araw-araw. May isang sakong bigas na meron kami. Pero ito, sobra na talaga. Salamat po sa inyo,” he humbly shared.</p><p>Cardong Trumpo bested seven other grand finalists during the final showdown with his near-perfect 99.5% combined score from the judges and public votes.</p>
